Years ago the concert was moved to the
new sanctuary at the Severna Park Evangelical Presbyterian
church in Pasadena. To accommodate the number of attendees,
the concert has been offered on two different nights.
Over
the years, this annual event has featured Cindy's renditions
of contemporary and traditional Christmas songs as well
as pieces she has written and recorded. A special treat
is always a number of pieces performed by the Annapolis
Area Christian School Madrigal Singers which Cindy conducts
during the school year. Cindy is joined by her husband
Todd on guitar for a number of pieces and has over the
years, been joined by various guest artists and family
members making the evening one of much musical variety.
One of Cindy's favorite parts of the concert is playing
the piano as a background for her Dad's reading of the
Christmas story from the second chapter of Luke which
has been a tradition in her family. The evening also
includes a massive carol sing by all that are in attendance.
This concert would not be possible without
the help of many individuals as well as the churches
and schools that have contributed their facilities and
time. Many thanks to all that are part of this event!
Over ten years ago
what has become an Annapolis area Christmas tradition started with Cindy's
first Christmas concert. The concert was held at the Annapolis Evangelical
Presbyterian Church and was attended by many from the congregation.
The following December, encouraged by many that attended that first
concert, she decided to give it a try for a second year. As each Christmas
approached, people would ask about the Christmas concert and it became
an annual event the first Friday evening of each December.
